Resources, past papers and syllabuses
Every link here goes to the organisation that actually publishes the material — the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Education, which sets SEA, and CXC, which sets CSEC. All links checked reachable on 13 September 2026.
The Ministry gives SEA past papers away free — the real ones, not imitations. For a Standard 4 or 5 this is the most valuable thing on this page.
None of these is written for CXC, so alignment is noted on each one. Used well they are the best free tutoring available anywhere; used carelessly they teach a syllabus you are not sitting. Check against the CSEC syllabus before you rely on any of them.
Work through this list once, at the start of the year. Open the CXC syllabus section and download the PDF for each subject you take, then keep them in one folder. Tick them off here — the list is saved on this device.
CSEC past papers are copyright CXC
CXC owns the examination papers and sells them through its own store. Scraping them and republishing them on a public website would be copying someone else's work without permission — so this hub sends you to the source instead. The syllabuses, specimen papers and mark schemes are free there anyway, and they are the more useful half.
Third-party copies are of unknown vintage
Sites offering free CSEC past-paper PDFs are common. Some are accurate; many carry papers from a superseded syllabus, and none of them tell you which. Practising a topic that was removed from the syllabus is worse than not practising at all.
The practice bank here is original
Every question in Practice was written for this hub in CSEC Paper 01 style and tagged to a syllabus strand. It is not a copy of any past paper, which is why it can sit here freely — and why it can be added to whenever a topic needs more coverage.
Use both
The hub builds the habit and finds your weak strands. Real past papers, worked under time in the months before the examination, build the stamina and the timing. Neither one replaces the other.
